Very unfortunate news out of Missouri as Governor Parson vetoed the KCPA Friday.
The American Kratom Association (AKA) is deeply disappointed in the decision by Missouri Governor Parson to veto HB 1667, the Kratom Consumer Protection Act (KCPA). We want to thank Representative Phil Christofanelli and Senator Rehder for their tireless commitment to protecting the public from dangerously adulterated products that will now continue to be sold in Missouri because of the Governor’s veto.

The setback in Missouri is alarming for not just Missourians, but all Americans. Momentum on consumer protection works both ways, and a defeat in one state can empower anti-kratom Governors and activists in others.
